History:
Cole Hall was named after Chester C. Cole, an accomplished attorney, Iowa Supreme Court Justice, and co-founder of Drake Law School [1]. Built in 1904, Cole Hall originally housed the Law Department of Drake University from 1904 to 1937, when the Law School moved to Carnegie Hall on the Drake campus.[2] Today Cole Hall houses the Office of Admission on the beautiful Drake University campus in Des Moines, IA.
Design:
When Cole Hall was originally built it had nine classrooms, three offices, a library and an assembly hall, which seated two hundred and fifty people.[4] Cole Hall was renovated in November of 2007.[5] The building now includes thirty offices, large waiting rooms, a conference room, two work areas, mail room and processing room.[6]
